The 2007 season is upon us. The Chipotle-Titus cycling team is back; bigger & faster than last year. Our new roster consists of 30 riders - 27 masters, 2 token riders just under age & one junior. We have one current UCI world master champion (Jane Finsterwald) & one former UCI master world champion on the team. We have 6 current or former USAC national champions riding with us.
Foye Troute, our Arizona racer, opened up the season with a 4th place in the open single speed at the NOVA National Series opener (formerly NORBA). The National Mountain Bike Series opener was held in Fountain Hills Arizona April 1st.
Jane Finsterwald ripped up the roads & our local "cobble" in Boulder starting with a 4th place open women at the Cateye Road Race. She followed this up with a Master Women's victory on the Koppenberg - Boulder's tribute to the Ronde Van Vlaanderen (The Tour of Flanders). Though I doubt many of the racers there had any clue as to what the real Koppenberg is, that was the last thing on their minds as they sprinted up the 18% dirt section on road bikes.
Coming up: Sea Otter
