July 2007

Chipotle Titus had a big week of racing with 3 riders at US Nationals, 7 racing the Winter Park Valley Point to Point, 6 at the Boulder Short Track, 1 at the always epic Mt Evans Hill Climb, one at the Leadville Silver Rush & one at the 5480 Triathlon.

Jane Finsterwald repeated as US National Champion in Mt Snow Vermont. She won the 50-54 group on the tough technical course. Mike Hogan battle the slippery deep mud & roots to come in 8th in the 40-44 group while Bob Bieterman picked up 9th in the 50-54 division.

Raili Filion was trying out triathlons on Sunday in Boulder. She was 2nd in the Boulder Peak Triathon & 15th overall female finisher! This is a very elite pro event. Raili was 128th of 1500 starters - including all the men. Her strongest leg was, as expected, her bike. She qualified for the world championships last month at the US Nationals & will be racing in Germany later this season.

Jamie Kilkoyn was our sole representative in the Mt Evans Hill Climb finishing in 2:20, for 34th place in the Cat 3 race.

Lester Pardoe raced the Leadville Silver Rush finishing 46th in the open division (17th in his group)

In Winter Park, the usual suspects, Heidi Godsil & Keith Sanders won the Valley Point to Point. Carol Newsom & Justin Green were 2nd in their divisions. Mark Gouge was chasing Sanders down & came in 6th. Greg Oberg also came in with a 6th place. Scott Pavlakovic was 13th in the fast 30-34 division.

Great week:
6 events
19 starts
1 US National Champion
3 wins
6 podiums

next up: Short Track on Wednesday, Laramie Enduro Saturday & Telluride Saturday
