Keystone Climax

The Mountain State Cup season final was held at Keystone Saturday & Sunday. The Keystone course starts with a 30 minute single track climb to the top of the mountain. There is a fantastic single track downhill almost back to the base & then a really, really long dirt road climb to the very top of Keystone. It's all a screaming downhill from there - twisting though the trees on a mix of fast, smooth trail, a root or two & some loose Colorado rocks. A classic course.

The juniors were off first & Wesley Geer won her 2nd event of the series to finish 3rd overall for the season. Jane Finsterwald finished 2nd in the 40+ women. Kay Levesque finished 4th but wrapped up the series win for the 40+ women. She also raced the pro short track the day before. Drew Geer finished 6th in the 40+ expert men's field.
