Winter Park Mountain Circuit

Chipolte-Titus demonstrated amazing team spirit and effort at this last weekends race in WP. We also had a great turn out! This race was rescheduled from the previous weekend due to too much snow on the course (is it really August????). The change in date did not allow for us to field the full "A" team which is in what could be described as a field sprint for the overall team standings with Team Evergreen. Those who did make it gave it their all in an effort to get as many points as possible for the team. After this event we are now 14 points behind Team Evergreen. I'm certain that we can make that up at the finals next weekend.

This is a version of a course we had not done for many years. A true mountain bikers course. High elevation, roots, rocks, technical areas and plenty of climbing. A must do event.

Mike Hogan dashed up to WP then back to Littleton to coach soccer games. Mike broke a chain near the end and still finished.
Jack Boltz overcame to flat tires at the start.
Lance Loehding had multiple flat tires, begged and borrowed tubes etc. and then just ran out of tubes in an effort to get points for the team.
Keith, Sherri and Carol had trouble free rides mechanically and finished well.

Results:
Sherri Boltz 2nd Exp 40-49
Maria Perez 3rd exp 40-49
Carol Newsom 4th exp 50+
Mike Hogan 10th Pro
Keith Sanders 2nd exp 45-49
Mark Gouge 4th exp 45-49
Scott Pavlakovic 4th exp 30-34
Jamie Kilcoyne 7th exp 35-39
Jack Boltz 7th exp 50+

Next up the King of the Rockies, which also the series finals!!!
