Crankworx Colorado

Crankworx came to Colorado this past weekend from Friday to Sunday. It was a fabulous celebration of Extreme Cycling on all levels. Below is a video from the Slope Style competition, which was a bit of a bore.

Seriously, these downhillers and slopestyle riders have some amazing skills that are really fun and entertaining to watch. The real highlight of the weekend, of course, was the Cross Country race. The course was an unbelievably difficult and wet challenge for all. Karen Hogan Highlighted the Women's Pro field by taking 3rd and a big check home for her efforts.

Keith Sanders continues his quest for total global domination by winning the 50+ experts and Carol Newsome also dominated her field. Mike Hogan and and Mark Gouge did not fare so well. Mike flatted halfway into the men's Pro race, while Mark suffered a spectacular crash to finish 5th in his Expert field. Jack Boltz, Justin Green and Jamie Kilcoyne all competed and finished with top 10s.
