It is almost May & there is still snow on most of the trails on the front range. Justin's/Titus riders put in some strong showings in some early season road & MTB races. Jamie Kilkoyn was our sole finisher in the Koppenberg on April 3rd, perhaps the windiest day in 10 years. He braved the gale force wind to finish 19th in 35+. The same day Gary Thacker was representing us at the opener for the Front Range MTB series in Golden.
The following week while Fabian Cancellara was ripping the legs off all mortal men at the Paris Roubaix, our riders were riding the combination dirt/pave course of the Boulder Roubaix. Karen Hogan was 5th in the cat 3 women while Michelle Bliss was 9th in the 35+ field. Ward Baker rode the extremely competitive cat 3 class to a 28th place. Mike Hogan was 2nd in the 45+, with Gary Thacker 19 in the same field. Thomas Dooley ws 4th in the 45+, 4 field.
