Gowdy Grinder Wyoming

Justin's Cycling was very well represented at the Gowdy Grinder this past weekend at the Curt Gowdy State Park near Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Big Nuts did extremely well and the Little Nuts did even better. It was amazing to me how many people took notice of our team and of our presence there. Many of them asking "What is Justin's?" Our friends at Mountain Flyer magazine put together a great report here http://www.mountainflyermagazine.com/view.php/gowdy-grinder.html and you can find complete results here http://laramiemtbseries.com/grinder/gr_results_11.php

In the beginner's race 10 year old Mark Harris and 11 year old Elizabeth Hogan dominated the adults by winning. In the intermediate race, Ben Hogan finished 5th in a field of 57. In the Open Men, Ward Baker led the team in 7th with Thomas Dooley and Mike Hogan finishing 9th and 10th. And in the Open Women, Karen Hogan was 3rd and Stacy Moller was 4th. Great finishes by all. Next time we need to remember to bring more nut butter as the crowd was begging for it.

I think everyone would agree that this was the best $10 race you can ever find. The course was fantastic, the competition was great and you couldn't have asked for more fun racing your mountain bike. This is one of the top 5 destinations for great single track riding within 4 hours of Boulder.
