Short Track #2

Chipotle-Titus has a couple of new faces for the lung searing short track in Boulder. Raili Filion entered her first ST & came in 2nd in the Women's "B" group. Gary Myer made his ST debut with the men's "C". It was extremely hot, breaking 90 degrees for the early races. Wesley Geer was able to move up to 4th place in the Women's "B" group - the 2nd top 10 finish for this junior riding with the senior women. Ben Hogan also raced for the Chipotle-Titus juniors putting in some awesome laps.

The dust clouds kept building as 50 riders negotiated the fast technical 3 minute laps. Mike Hogan warmed up with the "B" race along with Thomas Dooley, Justin Green & Drew Geer. This is the biggest field & strings out over half the course. Hogan was able to come in 2nd, picking his way through the thick air.

Karen Hogan picked up 3rd in the Women's "A" field, not having the last bit of leg to pick off the 2nd spot.

Mike & Thomas both rode a second event - the men's "A" race. Mike had moved into a solid top 10 when he made a subtle error than landed him in a not so subtle bunch of sticker bushes. The duo ended up with top 20 finishes in the elite field.

11 starts, 3 podium finishes
