BC Bike Race

Lester Pardoe is representing Chipotle-Titus in the 2nd BC Bike Race, a 550 km race from Victoria to Whistler. The race is a 7 day stage race on logging roads & single track. The stages range from 50 to 125 km a day.

Most of the big names in endurance racing are riding this event - Chris Eatough, Tinker Juarez, Nat Ross, Andreas Hestler, Bart Gilespie, Kelli Emmett & a host of others. This talent makes for extremely fast stages.

Stage 1 was an 87 km effort won by Bart Gillespie & Jason Sager after 4:14 of riding. Lester & his teammate Geoff Luttrell finished 52 in the open field. Stage 2 was the longest day at 124 km. This course was faster with very little climbing & lots of fast logging roads. The winning time for the day was 4:21 - just a few minutes slower than stage 1, despite the additional 40km. Lester & Geoff moved up, finishing 32nd on the day & jumping up 10 spots in the GC. Our pair was 47th overall on stage 3 & is now sitting in 45th on GC with 4 stages of mostly single track to go.
