Epic Tale

There is a story floating about that some Chipotle-Titus rider decided to ride from Boulder to Winter Park, race the 2nd leg of the Winter Park Epic Single Track Series & then ride on back home. Emulating the crazed Scandinavians he skied with in college, this rider embarked at night with a new set of lights. He of course did not consider charging them before hand so they shed no light on the adventure. After a close encounter with a moose on the Corona pass side in the pitch black he made it in one piece to Winter Park at 10:30 pm - early enough to get a full nights sleep & hardly qualifying for a true adventure. He was able lay down a 27th place in the Pro Men the next day, despite his advance age & dementia, before the ride home - now in full day light. You never know if these things are true, but then "the truth is stranger than fiction".
