Just wanted to update you and the team that I raced out here in Tennessee yesterday. The Black Bear Rampage was 44 miles and had some of the best rollercoaster like singletrack (climbs and descents) that have ridden in quite some time. Despite my off season fitness (nobody rides in Arizona in the summer time) I still managed to take first place in the single speed class, beating the next best racer by almost 8 minutes. My time was good enough for a 13th place overall out of the 275+ racers that started the race. I guess a little time off the bike has done me some good. I've attached a podium shot for ya'.
