While all the Thoroughbreds and their high rev engines were over in Sol Vista for the Nationals, the donkeys Lance Loehding and Mark Gouge were on the line for the 6am start in Breckenridge for the 100. First climb, straight up the resort mountain to wheeler pass and down to Copper mt. Had to stop at the car to change my front brake pads. 2nd loop was more of the FC50 course, but Thane Wright decided to add a nasty little granny gear climb. 3rd loop was supposed to be the road climb up Boreas Pass road. Instead Thane decided to add a single track from hell with a 30 min hike a bike (at least it seemed like it) Next was over to Como on some rough technical single track. After that I don't remember a thing. Black out Bob pedaling. If LV100 is a 9 on the hardness meter then B100 must be an 11-12.
Mark
(Mark Gouge finished 5th in the 40+ division of the Breck 100 after 11 hours in the saddle. Josh Tostado won the pro division in 8:33. Nearly 3/4 of the field failed to finish this very epic adventure)
