Cape Epic - Stage 7 - Final Day

The 2011 Cape Epic is all wrapped up. Thomas rode another good stage & finished the entire event. He is listed as one of the many riders who lost a partner & finished solo. Mike actually recovered slightly & rode stage 7 with Thomas - the rules allow him to ride but Mike is not listed in the results.

Hi Everyone.  Thomas rode alone yesterday in Stage 6.  I could not ride with the broken rib.  Here is his video from his lonely day. http://vimeo.com/21865408

I decided to ride the last 65k stage into Lorensford.  The broken rib was good for about 30k.  Then, I blew my nose and it popped.  It was pretty painful the rest of the way, but Thomas and I finished the stage.  Special thanks to Thomas for getting me to the finish.  We will send a full report shortly.
