Leadville Silver Rush 50

Mike Hogan, Karen Hogan John Bliss, Pete Watson, and Thomas Dooley raced this tough 50 miler at altitude on Saturday, and endured the incredibly steep uphill start.  All racers start by running up the long climb, which is a bit ironic for the start of a bike race, huh?  Watch for riders Mike Hogan and Thomas Dooley at 1:13 in the video below.

Despite a crash, Mike Hogan finished 2nd in his age group and 11th overall in 4 hours, 16 minutes,Thomas Dooley finishing in 6th, 7 minutes behind Hogan with a 4:23.  Karen Hogan placed second in her category as well with a 5:21.  John Bliss was 8th in his category, with a time of 5:16, and Pete Watson finished 13th with a 5:31.  Full results here.
